Current Mood: Work in Progress

I am finishing up the new book, which is set in 1958 in Germany and the miracle years of the economic boom are in full swing. But just underneath the shiny surface, a darker reckoning looms… I thought you might like to see part of the book’s “mood board” of research images I use to help envision scenes and locations (and details, like boarding passes and kitchen cabinets).

The book remains untitled. I had a title I loved: All the Devils are Here, but Louise Penny (and several others) beat me to that one.
